Unlike linseed oil, coconut oil is a non-curing oil. It will penetrate deeper into the grain of the wood which will help preserve the integrity of the wood. This oil/wax blend is food safe and perfect for everyday woodenware items that get used a lot such as: chopping boards, wooden utensils and wooden plates and bowls.

Because coconut oil has no colour and is odourless, the colour of the oil/wax blend is determined by the beeswax and it will often have a rich honey smell.  

To apply this oil/wax blend simply use either a clean rag or a lint-free cloth. Apply a thin coat over the desired area and leave for 24 hours, this will allow the oil to penetrate the wood and the beeswax to set and seal it in. Following this, buff the area where the oil/wax blend was applied with a clean rag or lint-free cloth.
