Made from a piece of beech that was salvaged from a diseased tree in Tollcross Park, Glasgow back in 2016, this board has a beautiful feel to it and is even light enough to carry cheese or charcuterie on it.

Once dimensioned from the 55mm rough sawn beech board, the bark inclusions and knots were stabilised using a food grade resin with colour pigment added. This then requires 48 hours to cure. All of the top outer sides and corners were then given a roundover which gives it a softer and more comfortable feel. The board was then finished with a variety of sanding grits and two coats of food safe coconut oil followed by two coats of Sloyd coconut oil beeswax blend polish.

Please note that due to the handmade nature of each item they are all unique and will have different variations in colour, tone and/or grain pattern than the ones photographed.
